Water
The one thing that distiguishes the
Earth from other planets we yet know of is water. The
Earth is sustained by it, and it is everywhere. The
surface of the Earth is about 70%, and we are made up of
about 75% water. All life depends on it. It is the
essence of life. Our life and the life of the planet
depend on water. It stands between life and death,
between health and sickness. Somewhere our connection
to,and respect for,water has diminished to a dangerous
level.
Because it is such a universal substance, most have
learned to take it for granted. Modern demands and
processes have strained the water supply and contaminated
it, thus destroying its essential nature. It has become
degraded and dirty. It is exploited and manipulated.
The present state of water needs serious consideration.
It is a two way relationship. If handled incorrectly,
water becomes diseased and becomes a transmitter of
disease. The disease spreads to all organisms that depend
on it. It reaches all organisms! Water must be respected
and given the reverence and importance it deserves.
Most need to wake up and see what they do and take for
granted. We are in a symbiotic relationship with our
planet, and as we destroy the Earth and its resources we
destroy ourselves.
Just remember this: we need the Earth far more than it
really needs us, so if we wish to continue living, we
better all wise up very soon.
